Just got back from the hospital visiting my older brother Holden.?ÿ It seems as though he had lay down his motorsickle to avoid instant demise.?ÿ The trouble came from a combo of the speed and the density of the pavement.?ÿ He's got injuries on both sides.?ÿ The doc imagined he hit twice (he bounced) 🙁 .?ÿ Men in their seventies are apparently just as crazy as they were in their teens...except now they have more money.
He just got out of surgery to pin his collar-bone back together, put a plate in his shoulder and wire his six broken ribs back together.?ÿ I stayed with him until he came out from under the anesthetic and back in his room before I came home.?ÿ His oldest son took watch tonight, I'll take over tomorrow.?ÿ?ÿ
I had to tell him he looks worse now than when Mike Rosso shot him in the back point-blank with a .357 in 1967.?ÿ He opened one eye and gave me the finger (as best he could with the doc's pulse-ox clip stuck there).?ÿ I realized then he was probably going to be ok.?ÿ?ÿ;)
The Lord is good to those of us that need Him.
Glad he's OK.
All you riders - get an airbag vest to protect your core - save the ribs and the back - I'm not sure if it would have helped the collar bone.

Yes it's one more piece of gear to put on but you don't heal like you did 10 years ago.
Wishing Holden a full and speedy recovery.
Glad to hear he's still with you and doing okay. Close calls always put things in check.?ÿ
Knowing what smidgen of history about the Cash Clan I do, I suspect this will go down as a "minor" incident in the Cash memoir's. Positive thoughts for "Holden"! He will be back on the bike before you know it. ?????ÿ
It's all part of the rich tapestry which make up our lives.
It's all part of the rich tapestry which make up our lives.
The "rich tapestry" of the Cash boys looks more like a long rap sheet...
Best wishes to Holden for a quick and full recovery. ?ÿHaving a brother like Paden would be enough pain for a normal man to endure.

Thanks for the well wishes.?ÿ Back at you and the "herd".?ÿ Holden is good and healing.?ÿ I've fixing to head that way for my daily visit.
Please understand I'm the only normal one out of the bunch...as insane as that sounds.?ÿ?ÿ My older bothers molded, forged and tempered me while I was an unwitting child...I merely wanted to be accepted.
Once I expressed wonderment to my older brothers that I hadn't been killed off by all the things they put me through.?ÿ Cole narrowed his eyes and told me there HAD been another brother before me that DIDN'T make it because of them....to this day I still don't know if he was telling the truth. 😉

I don't know if that's funny or not?
?ÿ
...I don't know if that's funny or not?
?ÿ
I was once convinced by my siblings that only I could climb up to get their kite out of the power lines because I was the smallest.?ÿ So I really don't know if that's "funny or not" either...?ÿ
It's the product of older brothers' sense of humor.
One of mine went to my Mom in the kitchen when he was supposed to be watching me in my crib with a dab of catsup (ketchup?) on his finger and said "You know that soft spot on Warren's head?"
Brother 1 and Brother 2 once branded Sister 3 on the ankle with the heated end of a metal toy gun. They didn??t torment Sister 4 and me, Brother 5 at all that I remember.
I ain't got no siblings. After me, my Parents did not want to risk another one possibly similar. ?????ÿ
My sister was an only child.
I also have a sister who was an only child.
Have a good friend that found motorcycles and ice do not mix and went for a lengthy slide and a long healing process. About the only part of him that was void of abrasion was under his steel helmet and that matter was pounded around quite a bit.
Once a rider, most always a rider, so I am sure that he has his sights on getting better for that reason, if not others too.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

The answers are a hoot for Gearheads. ?????ÿ
I got 91%, which it says is average. I know I'm not a gear head.?ÿ As usual, I have some nit-picks.
I don't call the shift lever a "gear stick,"?ÿ and didn't like any of their choices.?ÿ
Wheel covers (not one of their choices) are NOT hub caps.?ÿ Actual hub caps haven't been visible for a lifetime.
Their exhaust pipe picture wasn't a good example, as it only shows 6 inches, so I was relieved to get it right.
I got the drive shaft right, but wonder how their picture relates to 4-wheel drive as mentioned.
I was confused by the reversing sensors.?ÿ Does a car have that many, and have you ever seen the ABCD display?
I got 94%, but object to the same ones (especially the wheel cover question) that Bill does.?ÿ Like Bill, I missed the "reversing sensors" -- I knew they were position sensors, but on many new cars they appear all around, not just in back, and there's no dedicated display associated with them, just video, warning lights and buzzers.
?ÿ
That's a gear shift, not a gear stick. ?ÿThat's where you install the "?ÿchromium-plated
Fully-illuminated
Genuine accessory shift knob"
