I sent my client a PDF, via email. He sent me money, via PayPal.
No paper exchanged. At all.
Saves on ink that way!
I'm sure others of you have done all sorts of such things, for years. But, not hillbilly Nate!
🙂
No bitcoin??ÿ

If you're regular clientele are paying you in smoked meats and roomatiz medicine for a simple lot line staking, there's no paper exchanged there, either.
My larger institutional clients prefer digital deliverables (DWG and PDF) and pay via direct deposit.?ÿ About the only drawing I actually plot anymore are those destined for the County Recorder.
I have "clients" that prohibit the use of email. Snail mail only. DVD and ledger size prints in envelope.

In 2001 or 2002 I had a large construction outfit as a regular client, and they paid my periodic invoices by direct deposit.?ÿ?ÿAll was cool until their bank account was frozen by the U.S. Treasury (IRS) over some back taxes.?ÿ The IRS in turn froze my account (and other subcontractor's in the same boat as me) ?ÿ"until a proper accounting could be performed".?ÿ It was only a week or so, but it was a very nervous week for me.
I contacted a tax attorney to inquire if such things were legal.?ÿ His reply was "probably not...but the IRS pretty much does whatever they want.."
I have tried to avoid direct deposit payments from clients since then.
Eww,
I tried to make a DVD the other day but had forgotten that I disconnected it to pull data off a hard drive and never plugged it back in...
