As a business, the greatest value, as noted above, is in the telephone number for future business. Last surveying business that sold here was for $5000.00 and I think the purchaser derived very little benefit from the transaction.
Another "Benefit" is to simply close the competition. This may or may not work in that another entity may just decide to open shop as a completely new business.
