I am ordering a new Texas RPLS stamp, and I was sent a proof that is slightly smaller than my original.?ÿ I am 99.99% certain that there are specific requirements that spell out exactly what the dimensions shall be, but I can not find them on the new TBPELS webiste.?ÿ Does anyone know where I can find the specifications for a Texas RPLS Stamp?
?ÿ
Thanks for the help,

When I ordered mine, I simply went to the local Business Supply Store and ordered the stamp.?ÿ I did not worry about dimensions.?ÿ But taking measurements, I find from "point" to opposite "point", I have 1.5-inches.?ÿ From "flat" to opposite "flat", I have 1.4-inches.?ÿ So an 8-sided polygon in a 0.75-inch radius circle.
Just my .02'
Good question. I see in Chapter 137 of the Texas Administrative code that an engineers seal can't exceed two inches but I am not able to find anything on the size of a surveyor's seal.
When I received my license I remember receiving a paper with my letter that was basically an example that I took to the local stamp store to have one made. I have never seen a dimension requirement in the rules. ?ÿWhich doesn??t surprise me with Texas as we tend to have rules with a lot of grey. LA on the other hand has 2 acceptable dimensions.
I'm thinking in 1990 when I got mine, it was required to be 2 inches which was larger than the stamp my boss at the time was using. I need another one so if you find anything, please post it here.

I've been licensed almost 23 years. I bet I haven't rubber stamped 23 documents in that time.?ÿ?ÿ
I'd be willing to bet seeing as it's a Texas stamp as long as it's bigger than everyone else's you're golden.
Quite literally, thousands.?ÿ They do wear down and lose their sharpness over time.?ÿ Replace as you deem appropriate.?ÿ The survey stamp I use is 1.6 inches from one side of the ring to the opposite side of the ring.?ÿ As I recall I was sent guidance on dimensions, etc. that was to be provided to the stamp maker.?ÿ Upon receiving said stamp I had to stamp a blank sheet of paper and mail it into the Board to prove that I had acquired one and it was of the proper dimensions.?ÿ For the engineer stamp I have both the rubber stamp and the embossing (clamp) stamp.
