Working on a subdivision plat for another company and they have asked me to use their border/company name. I am going to ask them to add our company name/info, but does anyone know of a board rule why I could not sign the subdivision plat with just their company info on it?
For what it's worth, I did the boundary survey for the plat, wrote the legal description that was used in the closing for the purchase of the property and have checked the subdivision plat that their technician has prepared under my supervision and direction.
I say no. Let them sign it, if they like their title block.

Found the rule
I was looking for a specific rule to throw back at them and I found it:
Texas Administrative Code
Next Rule>>
TITLE 22 EXAMINING BOARDS
PART 29 TEXAS BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYING
CHAPTER 663 STANDARDS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND RULES OF CONDUCT
SUBCHAPTER B PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL STANDARDS
RULE §663.19 Plat/Description/Report
For the purposes of these rules the word "report" shall mean any or all of the following survey plat, descriptions, or written narratives...
...(5) The survey plat shall bear the firm name, land surveyor's name, address, and phone number of the land surveyor responsible for the land survey, his/her official seal, his/her original signature (see §661.46 of this title (relating to Seal and Stamps)), and date surveyed.
End of discussion as far as I am concerned.
Texas Example
I've seen the following example many times:
enter "D210159525" in both the instrument # to & from spaces;
use this this url:
https://ccanthem.co.tarrant.tx.us/RealEstate/SearchEntry.aspx
BTW scroll to sheets 3 & 4
As I understand the board rule, if you are not on that company's payroll, other contact information HAS to be provided on the face of the plat. Either the company you are currently working for (on the payroll) or your contact information as an independent contractor.
Pretty much what Mike said.
