I am putting together some general terms for our survey contracts. Would anyone be willing to share their stop clause language for when problems arise with the boundaries allowing you to stop work and consult with the clients on how to move forward?
Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

Your E&O carrier should provide this information.
If you feel that kind of language should be part of your contract, I would agree with Jim.
My contracts for "not to exceed" type proposals include a statement about issues affecting the budget must be approved prior to completion. I try to never give the impression that I would intentionally "stop work".
I am familiar with the standard language provided by E&O, but remember reading posts about surveyors having a "special" stop clause in their contract for when things don't match on the ground etc. Just wondering what that language looked like or how it was worded. I believe our contract already covers this, but thought there may be a better option out there.
Thanks
