I had up to 4 jobs for 20+ years until a couple of years ago. I have gotten really used to having only one job and my weekends free.
Surveying has been my thing since 82.
My dependents have been mostly motorcycles, cats,
tools, busch inc., fishing poles, and ammo though.
Oh - yeah - and a machete or two.
Actually I probably spent more on women...
But ammo is a safer bet in the long run;)

Same here, after 30 some odd years "going through the motions". I would like to do something else like build cars or houses, but surveying is getting long in the tooth. My wife has always (well almost always) have held some kind of job outside the home (heck it's a social thingy). Raised two kids, no trouble whatsoever but Surveying has provided 50% - 60% of our income. Worked private for surveying and engineering firms for the first 10 years, government for another 20 and I've had a private business for the past 10. Surveying pays but just barely. Yeah you can make a living at it, but it's hand to mouth.
