Hello, Looking for feedback and opinions on business Grand Opening/Re-Openings. Are they worth it and can you make solid connections?

We have a small surveying firm in a small town and have been in business for 4yrs. Started at home and 18mo ago moved into a couple offices in a local business office center. We have a total of 4 employees and we just signed a lease for a dedicated office location.

We have done really well, building up the biz over the last few years. We even did well during the thick of covid. We have good contacts, returning real estate agents and builders, but our sphere of business is a 30-75mi radius around our business location. Mostly property divisions and residential real estate, which has slowed down significantly.

We would like to grow and gain some commercial contracts, hire another licensed field technician and or drafter.

I am wondering if having an official Grand Opening, or Re-Grand Opening would be beneficial and conducive to growth and extending our reach further outside of our local service area. Is it worth it or a big waste of money? I am sure it also depends on who is invited and marketing followup?

We have never done anything like this. Feedback appreciated! Thanks for reading this!
