I wanted to link this article, because they are based in Clarksburg, WV (basically next door to my hometown) and the main LS/PS was the QB of the 1979 Bridgeport Indians, the WV AAA Football Champion (yeah... I'm a High School Harry football dork). Anyway, take a read.

Surveying is a lot more than a well done measurement. Surveyors are the best data collectors, then thinking of yourselves in this manner, all things data fall under the surveyors umbrella.

Those that have the data or can get it make money, all others spend money.

Yes it can if you structure your business right and put the right people in place. 1.3 million in revenue is not that much for a surveying company in the energy sector though.

I salute you guys that do boundary surveying only for a living. We used to be one of them, however no one wanted to pay the fees when they could go to the guys next door for a quarter of the cost.

Well, they've only been in business for 10 months... gotta let them have a "birthing year". 😉
