Client management software?

Curious as to what software you use to track contacts with clients.?ÿ Looking for something that will give me metrics on time since last contact, method of last contact, remind me of outstanding invoices, etc.?ÿ I know there is software out there for this but not sure what is worth it and what isn't.?ÿ I am trying to work smarter, not harder on business development and feel almost like most of my marketing is shotgun pattern.?ÿ Send bunch of stuff out bunch of different ways and hope some of it gets clients.
