They say that "the success or failure of an enterprise can often be attributed to one man" or something along that line. Looks like Blackberry is back in business with this John Chen at the helm.

My next one will probably be a BB, Passport or Classic getting tired of the same old smart phones that have been flooding the market the last few years.

Blackberry sure went into a nose dive for a while, but they stabilize before hitting the ground. Interesting stories to follow, these large corporations ups/downs.

You know I was thinking the same thing . I went in the Verizon Store and told them I wanted a new blackberry and the young kid laughed and said we dont even carry it anymore I will have to order it. I said order it .

I cannot stand the touchscreen phone keypads . Plus I dont need all the bells and whistle anyway , app this and app that .

Glad to see that I'm not the only one. I dropped my BB Curve on a rock in August, it died, and I was told at one Verizon store that I couldn't get a new one. I went to another store and they told me that they could order one for $150, and it'd take a week to get it.

Instead, I went online and ordered it through Verizon, it was only $50, and came by FedEx the next day.

It's a BB Bold. It's a little bigger than the Curve, looks similar, with the keypad, but the screen is also a touchscreen. Overall, I'm happy with it. I had to buy an Otter case, though, as it doesn't have the rubber built in the way that the Curve did.

BB user here too, a number of years ago I got into a Bold 9700 as my 1st smartphone, quite by accident, went to the store, looked at all the choices and concluded that was the better phone. I retired that last year when BB made a deal I couldn't turn down, an unlocked Z10 for $200.

It took a bit to get used too the ALL glass screen, but I like it, I have a work issued iPhone 4 that isn't nearly as good IMO, sure Apple has lots of cool apps BUT for calls texting, e-mail, etc. ALL the communications features I find to be better and the BB typing experience even on a glass screen is better as far as I am concerned.

I can load Android apps direct to the handset plus the BB ones, I just don't see the but BB doesn't have any apps argument as being valid.

Ver 10.3 of the os is due soon and reviews are good.
