I've been using Square for quite a while, never had any issues with it.

It seems that your use is a bit out of the ordinary so that's why you're being monitored.

I understand that they may take a while to release the funds, but for me that's okay. I'm not working from invoice to invoice, and I'd rather have the money there than chase after some slow payers..

accepting credit cards - no monthly fees

If you only have the occasional debit/credit card user and do not want to pay monthly fees: try Google Checkout.

Luckily, I'm not working invoice to invoice, either.
I guess my real issue with square is having to email them with issues, the fact that my client's card was declined for no reason, and the are apparently charging, crediting, and recharging my client's card--making it confusing for them.
I'm sure I'll be ranting about paypal in a few months:-P

That's good to know, when I was with PayPal a few years back, they charged $30.00 a month. 🙁

I have also looked into using Square. Found that Intuit has a similar device and service.
Intuit also can link directly into your quickbooks. No really interested in this feature.
Anybody using intuit and if so any comments.
