Question about a Keuffel & Esser compass/clinometer

I am very sorry that I cannot post the picture of the compass here, but the picture is available at ebay link. you can click on the "See original listing" to see big pictures of the compass.  It seems the compass (middle ring) works well and I am not sure about the clinometer (I think the out ring is for clinometer, hope I am correct). Does any one has a manual? Or anyone can tell me how to use the 4 rulers on the base, the outer ring, and the half inner ring? Thank you so very much.

The inner half ring is the clino- mount the compass on the staff so the base plate is vertical- use the vanes to sight your line, then read the vertical angle on the little pendulum- looks kinda like a fly swatter. Without looking too closely I’d imagine the scale along the edges of the base compares to various scale from quad maps. Good luck with that. Those are nice tools.
