Became an Alabama PLS in 1989 and opened my own practice in 1995 which is still going although I am now a solo operator.
I was an army Field Artillery Surveyor from 1975 - 1978. Upon my discharge, I took an entry level rodman position and worked in Birmingham untill 1982 when I moved to Louisiana. While there, I worked on survey crews involved in expansions of oil refineries. When that work ended, I was hired as a crew chief for a company in Metaire LA (New Orleans) for two years before a position was offered to me in Birmingham in 1986 where I have lived and worked since.
