About Me

As the Director of Survey, I have the freedom to continue my career as a leader in the geospatial industry. My focus includes market development for Southern Survey and Design as a service provider and I facilitate my staff from customer service to project completion daily. I also develop concept to implementation process and procedures for my clients and their vendors as part of our sales pipeline.

I started Southern Survey at the request of my clients to focus on topographic, boundary, and construction survey services. In 2013, I facilitated the sale of my company to Trendsetter Construction, Inc. and remained on staff as a department director and internal business consultant

I have used GPS since 2003 and in 2013 included LiDAR collection services. A few of the civil layout projects I have completed include the Enbridge Beckville Plant, the PennTex Mount Olive and Lincoln Parish Plants, and countless public work and private development construction projects. From 2013 to 2016, my team initiated beta field trials to develop vendor workflow for Anadarko SDSP for various GIS data collection, augmented reality, and GIS applications. We also offer spatial solutions for midstream integrity management programs and our firm continues to complete boundary work in Texas weekly. In April of 2016, I passed the Texas Licensed State Land Surveyor exam to become the best surveyor I could be.

Surveying has been a unique avenue to showcase both my liberal arts and STEM skillsets as well as help develop my business and management skills. The same project that requires heavy machinery and hand tools also requires data analysis, CAD drafting, and report creation. I have always enjoyed working outside, helping construction, reading books, writing essays, creating marketing material, developing internal documents, working on teams toward solutions, and fostering the professional relationships that will grow our community.
