I am the Party Chief of a privately owned surveying company that was established in Texas in 1979. I work directly under the R.P.L.S., I have been with this company for a little over three years; I operate any and all of the field equipment/instruments and I am currently learning CAD with the help of books, the R.P.L.S. and our draftsman but mostly O.J.T. I am interested in pursuing a lifelong career in land surveying, I love being in the field and problem solving. I have experience in putting together bids for jobs, construction layout, topography, boundary analysis and calculation among other areas of surveying. I am learning the ethics and laws as I move along, I have a great mentor who has been in the industry for 25+ years. I use Trimble Business Center and Trimble Access and currently operate a Trimble S6 Robotic Total Station, Sokkia automatic level, Trimble GPS R10 Base/Rover Receivers, Land Desktop 2000, and Auto CAD 2013. I am always looking to learn new and more efficient ways to work and be productive in the field and office. Previous experience includes +/- 2 years as a heavy equipment operator and construction layout/surveying using Trimble GPS and SCS Software.
