Recently bought new house in IL. I have aha plat survey.  Looking to install fence and along my boundary lines I have a 5′ DUE spacing.  what is the DUE is it like some sort of easement? Or can fence within it?

Possibly PUE? As in Public (or Private) Utility Easement? DUE I don’t know, but it is probably defined somewhere on the face of the plat.

Can you post a copy of the plat survey?

I hope everyone has a great day; I know I will!

Contact the surveyor named on the plat directly to ask.  Or, check with your municipality.

Itƒ??s most likely as stated above a drainage and utility easement. That means no permanent structures within the easement. A fence is usually ok but subject to removal if major operation takes place within the easement. In regular subdivisions this rarely occurs and it is commonplace to have that type easement placed on all of the lots within the subdivision.
