Hey, if municipalities want to get their own measure downs, or dips, all the power to them. Have at it.
I HATE doing that part of a topo.
I was getting out to put out cones and flag cars and he was the only car for 1200 feet . I could see he was not seeing us in the road . He had plenty of time to see us and re-act to us in the road . Cop agreed with us that he was not paying attention . Had to go home and clean my under garments. People do not care about us working in the road period and its getting worse . This is the part of the job I hate the most .

Yeah, for me though it is always the civil engineer asking for that information on a standard site plan topo for a private remodel, so it does not work for me to use that angle.
If the purpose of the inverts are for the city, county, or state, it's possible for them to do a lane closure for you if you request it. They have the know how and equipment to do one. I have seen that happen before.
Sometimes on a not so busy street, you can get away without one. I've done that before, but you didn't hear me say that.... Sunday mornings are a good time too.
