ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Terrestrial scanner and Table A, Item 15

With integrated technology now available when using equipment like the Trimble SX12 are you certifying to Item 15 when using total stations that can also do terrestrial scans? Are you certifying to Item 15 when using a stand-alone terrestrial scanner? What about when you take a prism less shot? What if you scan, just to make sure the field guys don't need to return? Are you only using it for certifying photogrammetry and mobile scanning?
I'm just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this one and maybe how they have changed over the years.
