** ABSOLUTELY NO POLITICS **
Quote from bill93 on January 25, 2021, 8:33 pmI'm glad this site doesn't have all that acrimony so we can concentrate on technical topics and frivolity.
However, I also read various news feeds, frequently including a left-wing site and a right-wing site on the theory that you need to know what the rest of the country thinks (or espouses without thinking).?ÿ All too often those "discussions" are mostly name calling, and we don't need that here.

Quote from rj-schneider on January 26, 2021, 12:25 amIt's a little more complicated than the symbolism with avatars, emojis, or outright speech. Your extremist and dangerous posts will slip under the radar with familiar extremist partisan phrases and dog whistles such as:
?ÿ
1) Any mention of grits with cheese, or any other abomination or critter as ingredients
2) "It's <50?ø rainy and beautiful here in _____"

It only takes a second to realize those aren't correct, and need to be removed quickly.

A&W root beer has NEVER been good out of a can. Bottles are ok but not the same as a frosty mug from an old drive through. Roller skate delivery on a tray that hangs on the car window. Now THAT was good!

Yes I do.?ÿ I also recall back in the late 1950's how they had a little bitty mug for little kids that only cost a nickel.?ÿ The nearest A&W was a few blocks from my grandmother's house and she would take me there to spend a nickel to get me that treat.
