We are looking for a mid-level survey tech who can work independently for field and office tasks. Ideally, it would be someone with 2-5 years experience doing boundaries, topo, staking, etc. Some level of competency with Civil 3D would be expected too. It would likely be 50/50 mix of field and office.
We generally run 1-person survey crews where the surveyor will go out and do the field work, then bring it back to the office to draft and send off to engineering. Our company does a wide variety of work, but this position will mainly support a small (5-10 people) civil design group. The projects will be mainly in and around the Bismarck, ND metro area, but a lot of work will be in the western half of ND. Occasionally there will be projects in Wyoming, Montana, or western South Dakota. We don't necessarily need anyone that's registered, just a strong technical person.
The person would likely be the only field surveyor in the office for most of the year (with possibly a summer intern), so they would need to be self-starting, strongly independent, and reliable. We do have high-level surveyors in the company, so there would be support for them if needed. If you know someone with a good technical background living in the area that is familiar with Trimble equipment and ND surveying in general, please let me know.
