DGR Engineering is a growing, multi-discipline consulting engineering firm with offices in Rock Rapids, Sioux City and Ankeny, Iowa and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. DGR Engineering currently has an immediate full-time career opportunity in the Sioux City office for a Survey/Design Technician.

DGR Engineering’s Sioux City office specializes in the design of infrastructure and utility improvements for developers, cooperatives, and municipal applications. Typical projects include gravity sewer collection system design, water main distribution system design, storm water drainage and detention design, street layout and design for new construction and reconstruction, and site design for development from individual lots to residential, commercial, and industrial subdivisions.

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Survey/Design Technician with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree. The ideal candidate will be able to operate survey equipment and perform topographic and boundary surveys, construction staking, processing of field survey data, and have a general understanding of Civil Engineering projects. A working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble GPS/robotics is desired.

Applicant must possess good communication skills and have the ability to work with a wide variety of clients. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hard-working and able to work within technical, project, budgetary, and time line constraints.

We're flexible, you could live in South Dakota or Nebraska (just across the rivers).
