Job Duties:
åá Manage a field survey crew in completing topographic, boundary and control surveys for design and construction surveys for municipal, private and roadway projects;
åá Trains, mentors and evaluates Survey Crew Technicians to improve efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of work performed.
åá Oversee field surveying projects including, deadlines, schedules and crew training.
åá Capable of researching and interpreting record survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records.
åá Keep accurate, detailed, and professional notes and sketches;
åá Direct and perform field activities and maintaining vehicles and equipment;
åá Ensures compliance with CDIÛªs safety procedures
Required Skills
åá High School Diploma/GED
åá 5-10 years of survey experience
åá 2+ years of survey field crew chief experience
åá Ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
åá Strong knowledge of survey field operations using GPS, Robotic Total Station, Automatic/Digital Levels, High Definition Scanners and Data Collectors.
åá Strong verbal and written communication
åá Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions.
åá Valid driver's license
Desired Skills
åá Understanding of MicroStation, AutoCad, Trimble and Leica Instrumentation is a plus.
åá Certified Survey Technician (CST)
åá AssociateÛªs or BachelorÛªs degree in Surveying
