I tend to believe that most or all of the people on this forum are part of the better half of the individuals in this profession (even if they are not the better half of their relationships), so it should be a decent place to draw a consultant. I also see where several people are 'dead in the water'. We happen to have a steady work load and one proposal for a fairly significant project with a deadline. Hiring an additional employee would be too short term and summer is when there are ample jobs available.
So, for you guys who are dead in the water: would someone be interested in taking a week or two to help perform a topographical survey? Housing or lodging is a slight issue, but I think we can find a way to make it work. I believe our deadline will be in mid August, so this will be very fast paced.
I'll guess that Foggy will ask why I am not subbing him; it's just that I want to keep all the data for myself. This will be the second of these extensive topographical surveys and I know how valuable that data is. It would also please me to help a surveyor in need.
Hopefully I will have the proposal back this week. If anyone is interested, drop an e-mail to thadd@ese-llc.net
Sorry it's not definite yet, here's hoping.
