Hello all, I am looking for a few suggestions to help with my employment search.
Within industry, is worth while to create and maintain a linkedin profile?
Would it be a wise idea to create a website/portfolio featuring projects I have completed in university?
No one's replied yet? What's up with that?
I would think it to be a great idea to do a linkedin or other electronic resume(s). Why not; what would it hurt? It seems like the job market is pretty bad, and if you don't do everything you can, you are less likely to get a job. One guy put his feelers out on this web page not too long ago and found a job.
Good luck to you. Make sure to check and double-check your spelling and grammar. It's a real turn-off to see an applicant that has typos all over his resume (at least for me).
Be specific about where you are located and where you want to work.
LinkedIn goes everywhere, and it's going to be tedious sorting through all those job offers from Scotland and New South Wales.....
I don't know your situation but I have been increasingly looking outside of south Dakota for the future. I know where a position will be opening up soon but ya don't want it.
Where is this position? You can email me at lee57103@msn.com with details. I can throw in a FS exam study guide for a finders fee.:-P
Currently, I have small list of employers I need to follow up with. A couple in the oil fields of ND and a couple in the twin cities. No jobs in SD. I'm thinking of sending resumes to companies in the yellow pages. Hoping to turn the flood situation along the Missouri from lemons to lemonade.
Message sent to your account email, I wasn't joking about that job though!(you don't want it, nothing but frustration)
