I have been a BLM Federal Authority Land Surveyor for almost ten years. I am considering making the switch over to the private sector or some other government agency. Currently licensed in Nevada but able to acquire any license needed. Willing to relocate. Lots of federal contracting experience.
Originally from Montana and would like to make it back to that part of the country. Open to Colorado area as well. Pretty much open to any options in regards to location except the southwest region of the U.S. as it's too hot.
Here is a job right in your area. Or is there a reason for employee turnover in the area? Jp

Thanks for the FYI. Like I said in my post, I have been with the Federal government now for 10 years and I want to see what else is out there. No "employee turnover" issue(s) that I am aware of. Just getting the itch to see other parts of the country as I have been in Nevada now for almost ten years.

Just a constructive observation as I'm sure you are qualified. Your resume reads like you are talking to someone at your current agency with a lot of acronyms and vague language that I'm sure others at your agency would very much understand. I would suggest that you think about your audience for that resume and make some revisions that would make it very concise and clear to a potential employer what your experience and strengths are. If they are busy and need someone of your caliber, they may not have much time to try and figure out what you are saying. Just trying to help. Good luck.

Excellent suggestion. I just took my standard BLM resume and posted it here. I like your suggestion to tailor it to my audience. Thank you. - Kane
