Wednesday was a particularly nice day - considering this is one of the top 10 wettest summers ever in NYC. So, appreciating the fine weather I strolled over to one of our neighbors and went up top to view our site.
One World Trade Center (left rear) is now well above one thousand feet and Four World Trade Center (right front) is doing well, too.

I figured a fine (and rare) day such as this deserved a trip to the "TOP". So, up I went on the lift to the "top of the house". But, rare fine days like this deserve a little extra effort. So up the tower crane we go.
The boys get ready to hang some steel.

Hmmm, Jersey, I think I see my house...

Well, let's see what's happening to the east in Brooklyn and Queens.
Oh well, enough of my dreary office....
Nice view. I enjoyed the pictures. Thank You.
The BIG picture.
The second resized photo.
One day I will get this picture posting thingy down to a science...
The BIG picture.
Would make a great poster. You might try marketing those. If that's legal to do. I'd buy one.
The BIG picture.
Great shots... almost have an HDR quality to them
The BIG picture.
Only way I would allow myself to get that high is in an aircraft. 3 stories is high enough, been higher and never liked it. Does not matter if inside a completed building or not, I would never go willingly.

cool pics-
but that water looks NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-P
Stunning...
Absolutely stunning! It always amazes me when I think about how many people live and work in all of that area, so compacted but for the most part so organized.
Thank you for sharing, Scott!!!
Nice pics Scott, thanks for posting! Obviously you like what you do!
Have a great weekend!:-)
Scott-
Thank you.
I still say get a WTC Surveyor's book out !
Cheers

Thanks Scott!! You do have the pictures figured out!! I would like to be the crane operator, except for the fact that you can't look around much...sort of like drivin' and wanting to sight see!!
cool pics-
I think the recent flooding upstream has enhanced the Hudson's hue. Lots of channel clearing work is being done upstream. The Susquehanna will be off color as well. Yellow machines in the creeks will do that.
Nice stuff, as always, Scott. Thank you!
Rick
