What I recall about the requirement for coordinates on subdivision plats in Travis County (assuming this is your location)?ÿ was that it was all GIS and emergency services related.?ÿ Last time I was there (2004-2005) we would give the state plane coordinates (for the two locations as required) to the nearest foot in order to avoid these future he said she said situations.?ÿ I'm not sure how this has changed in the last 15 years but if it were me then I would probably do the best I could to set the monuments in accordance with the subdivision map and make whatever sense I could make out of what is already on the ground and disregard the SPC discrepancy.?ÿ
