I get the same message as above.

I open the site in my phone's web browser and click download.

When it finishes downloading, there is an install prompt so I click on that.

But when that finishes, I get the error message "Application not installed".

Useful Android apps - The day after

Sure is a 'new world' of experiences.

One very useful applciation if you need to know what the sun does (or moon) for any reason, planning sun aspects would be one, is 'Sun surveyor'.
It works well here in Tasmania but expect no reason not to anywhere.

Also there are some excellent geometry calculators about. I won't name any preferences other than TriSolve.
I think there are probably some better ones but this is basic and does what I want for triangle calcs.

I downloaded one and quickly uninstalled (paid one too) as it came with an add which was very annoying and rather cheaky I thought.

Still looking for a simple camera app that georeferences the pictures.
One I installed did a very poor job of focussing and exposing.

I bought an HTC Inspire (think its a 'Velocity' in USA).
It has a very good (for a phone) camera that has a fantastic panorama setting and stitches three images together in a flash. That is something amazing.
It does accentuate blues - but this is only a phone!

The camera is quick to respond, very good on closeups but is a bit fiddly at times in focusing so need to check before walking away thinking you've done the job.

The experience continues.

Many thanks for all the comments, much appreciated.
Wendell - I grabbed quite a few of those apps on your list.
Never thought I'd like a touchscreen HP calculator but do now.
Must dig out some of my old programs.

Just needs RTK and ...:-P

I also have an HTC Inspire and its been a good phone. On mine I can turn on/off geo-tag photos in the pre-installed camera app by hitting Menu-Settings then scroll down to the Geo-tag photos check box. No need to download anything for that.

One thing to avoid if you use the geo-tag or the Geocam app linked above is that when the camera is on, it interferes with the GPS. If you get a gps fix before you start the camera you can have a good position, but it will quickly lose lock or lose sight of half the sats and you get a very poor position accuracy. It took me a lot of testing to determine that was the problem, I first thought the GPS was poor, but its very good if you avoid camera and gps at the same time.

thanks solarcurt - had missed the GPS reference setting in photos. And thanks for tip re GPS.

The more I use this device the more I enjoy it.

Who can predict where/ what electronic data recorders, devices etc will be in 1 year? 5 years? The mind boggles.
