What's the skinny on Trimble TSC-2 batteries??ÿ When I hit the battery Icon I get "Main Battery-LiIon" and it also shows a "Backup Battery".?ÿ Let's see the "LiIon" is the big battery in the back and the "Backup Battery" is the internal battery??ÿ Is that right??ÿ The internal battery is replaceable or not??ÿ Thanks.

I just talked to my service tech and was told that there is not a replaceable battery in the TSC2.?ÿ?ÿ

My TSC-2 was purchased new in 2007 and is still working like a champ.?ÿ About two years ago, I had to buy a new battery for it and my local Trimble guy said it was the last one in the system.?ÿ The internal battery is apparently still fine.?ÿ It is a little slow but I still love it.?ÿ I don't like the way the 3 talked at you rather than the dings and beeps and the 7 was just enormous.?ÿ Maybe when it dies I will move on to the 5.

@fairleywell?ÿ

Our tsc2 definitely got a new battery years ago. I remember having to plug it in every time we got back in the truck until they replaced the battery and then it was still showing 90% at the end of the day. That DC has been gone for a few years now though.?ÿ

@350rocketmike Sorry, I wasn't clear.?ÿ When they were still manufactured, you could bet a replacement battery.?ÿ The big battery that had the I/O module included was commonplace.?ÿ The backup battery though, is not replaceable.?ÿ I asked our service techs and they just looked at me like I was crazy until I showed them the menu.
