Hey All,
I was recently given a tsc7 with windows 10 based survey access installed.?ÿ Was wondering if anyone else had any issues with the stylus acting up and randomly not working.?ÿ
Thanks in advance?ÿ
There are some settings for the stylus, I don??t remember the exact words but something like ??stylus, finger, glove?. ?ÿ Try that. ?ÿI thing that settings is in windows.
Thanks for the heads up. I have given that a try. Typically I have to reset the whole unit in order to get it to stop.
From the geospatial help portal:
"The Trimble TSC7 and T7 include a?ÿTouch panel utility?ÿfor selecting?ÿFinger,?ÿGlove, or?ÿStylus?ÿmode. You can use any mode, but if you are working in the rain, Trimble recommends selecting?ÿFinger?ÿmode. For more information on the?ÿTouch panel utility, refer to the documentation for your controller."
It's not the weather. It will be a perfectly sunny day. The stylus will be working just fine, then it starts to work intermittently, then you have to tap with slight pressure, then you can see the screen respond to the stylus but the screen does not do anything. It has not be dropped or mishandled in anyway. I also called the local survey supply store we deal with and they hadn't heard about anything like this from anyone. They were not able to get an answer either.
Use the up arrow to open the system tray icons on the windows desktop screen. There is another icon there that is blue (not the bluetooth symbol) and if you use a magnifying glass, it looks like a blue finger with circles radiating from it. Tap that and it opens Touch Control Panel with the options for finger, glove or stylus. Aggravating as hell when it decides to change on it's own.

@observer28 I have experienced similar issue on Windows 10 device called Algiz 10x. I calibrated the screen and it was resolved. Remember to calibrate for touch and not pen. Unless TSC7 has an active pen. I have never used TSC7.
