Hi all, i've a problem with my trimble s6 totale station, when i want to deal with robotic mode
First i configured radio settings in TS -channel and id- the same as in trimble cu,
After that i completly install my station and click on robotic mode, then i removed cu and place it in robotic radio holder global, and run cu again.
?ÿ
The problem is here.... When i want to mesure a point a small message apears saying: connecting to total station
?ÿ
And it still showing like that forever
?ÿ
So what i should do as solution
?ÿ
Here are some info about my hardwares:
Radio holder type: robotic holder global 58021019
Radio of total station: part no 58010019
TS firmware ver: R12.5.54
Trimble access prog version: 2015
Radio holder with cu in trimble radio settings prog in controle panal shows: radio info programe version 5.54
Sn: 48 19 21
?ÿBut opening the same prog with total staion it show: not available in the two colmun
?ÿ
- Anything more info, please help..
Whats up, no any answer, is this forum active, am i wrong!?
I would suggest contacting your local dealer if possible.
Hey mate,
?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ?ÿ I don't use a CU controller, but I know that the battery on the holder sits exposed, maybe check the connection points for the battery to make sure that it's getting a good connection. Also, check and make sure that right instrument is selected in Trimble Access, if it is a different instrument then it may be searching for a different signal.
Some pictures of what's showing on screen would help alot with trouble shooting.
Thanks for replying ALL,
- About local dealer we have'nt here in Algeria, the nearest one is so far, but it still the last solution.
- I have verified all point connections in the battery and cu holder but nothing solved.
- For the TA prog. There are just three choices for instriment selection: GNSS, S6 And 5600. I selected S6.
- For your information, i've tested the two radios using an AM Radio, i noticed when i bring a two antennas closer, a small changing in sound (noise) of AM radio, the same happened with the other antenna, that means the tow antennas radio are working at least they are sanding waves (but as needed, i dont know).
- I will append some pictures, may help, i wish it will be solved nearly.
- I'm waiting for your replying, thanks all again.
I can't think of much, but trey the following:
- Try changing the radio channel? Just a thought but maybe there may be something or somebody else in the area using that channel which could be causing interference.
- I can't see any problems with your settings either, if you can try connecting another controller and see if that works.
- I was once told that earlier S6 models had trouble from time to time connecting to a controller that was too close, maybe try taking a step away. Sounds a bit dumb but worth a try, haha!
- Make sure that you don't have Survey Controller or Trimble Access running in the background at the same time, I'd assume that the instrument can only be controlled by one software platform at a time.
- Try connecting via bluetooth, if this is possible maybe your radios in either the instrument or CU cradle might need to be replaced.

I'm using a TSC2 controller and find that it can be slow to connect at times, sometimes taking up to 1 minute to establish a connection, how long have you waited before you reset the connection process?
