Hi everyone's.?ÿ

A question?ÿ about .dc format export file from trimble acces job.

I use to choose it when I aim to use polar observation in my topographic software.?ÿ

With this I can obtain traverse adjustment but I can't use the code field to get automatic drawing, because I use this in the field with trimble access codification (graphic monitoring of my survey).

I wonder if I will be possible to personalize dc format and choose additional attribute rather than code in the exported file.

May I ask what the purpose is of wanting the additional attribute rather than the code? ?ÿIf the attribute is that important to what youƒ??re exporting I would almost suggest modifying your feature library to just include some sort of attribute in the codes, maybe a different library for the jobs that you do this on that is more specific to what you want exported. ?ÿ

without more details of what youƒ??re looking to get/trying to do/expecting, I have a hard time giving any more suggestions. ?ÿ

Itƒ??s not clear to me why you canƒ??t use the codefield.

you can also enable the 2 description fields, that will give you 2 extra lines for entering whatever you want. You have to enable them in the job properties, theyƒ??re very handy and are also available in TBC in the point spreadsheet. (Must also be enabled in the spreadsheet view options)

one more alternative is the note field CTRL-N in TA. One disadvantage here, theyƒ??re bound to the previous/next point, but in the dc or jxl they will be available after the stored point in the fieldbook.

if you want linework on the dc, then youƒ??ll have to code in the code field and put your attributes in the descriptions or notes.

succes!

@absurveyor18548?ÿ

Just because my codification is diff??rent between TA and Mensura (my topographical software).

The TA codification is just a feature wich allow me to see the progression of my survey with the lines I intend to record.

In the additional commentary I put the codification wich is interpreted by mensura.?ÿ?ÿ

We process our linework in Geopus and do not use the TA feature library for linework. Weƒ??ve been doing this for decades, and donƒ??t see the linework in TA, no problem for us, when we started there was no MAP view on the dc where you could see your linework.

Ok.

I think that there's no way to perso alize the .dc format export file.

I will try by another way to obtain raw observations and put them in MENSURA.

The Access dc and job file formats can not be changed.

But you can export your data in many ways.

Access uses stylesheets to define what data and format the export should have.?ÿ https://help.trimblegeospatial.com/TrimbleAccess/latest/en/Job-import-and-export.htm

There are a huge number of different export style sheets available on the Trimble website. Take a look at the style sheets sections at?ÿ https://forms.trimble.com/globalTRLTAB.aspx?Nav=Collection-62098

And if they dont do what you need, you can always write your own.

I'm trying to wrap my head around a program that will take a DC file but not a custom CSV file...You can export polar coordinates plus feature codes and attributes directly from Access.

I agree with @jimcox on the stylesheets. If there's not already one that can do what you want it to do, it's not too difficult to modify or write a different one.

I think the DC file he is referring to is the old SDR33 controller format. It is pretty well documented and supported.

It is one of the standard Access exports.

I believe the format does not support descriptions or attributes - only names and codes.?ÿ

I would like to know more about what Mensura will accept. They have a website, but it does not link to any help or documentation.

I think it would be possible to build a suitable feature code library (fxl file) and use the DC format as an alternative to using a custom?ÿ stylesheet

thank you all for all these ideas.

It would take me a bit more time to dig a little deeper into the trimble access documentation to get a data transfer settings file that meets my needs.

?ÿ

Yes, Mensura isn't the Best software for topographical computation.?ÿ

?ÿ

It accepts several formats like gsi csv and other.?ÿ

?ÿ

It intends to be operational with multiple brands like topcon leica trimble and more.

?ÿ

It seems that developers don't test all the purpose and there's still some bugs or miss In the data transfer.

?ÿ

But I need to do with it because it's the one wich has been chosen by my firm for drawing road and projects.?ÿ

?ÿ

I miss some time for setup and testing each of transfert format files.

?ÿ

I think it could be more efficient with a fully trimble software suit like TBC + Trimble Access.?ÿ
