Purchased an ES-103 last spring. It's a good gun that we've used day in day out in all weather with no problems. Traverse closures are good, it carries elevations well and the edm is quick and works well through leaves.
The ES comes with TSshield which tracks the location of the instrument and can lock it down if it's stolen. Since TShield tracks the guns location we have the ability through the TSshied website to see plotted on a google type map where the gun was working on any given day and it also records how many hours are on the gun.
However the ES only comes with one battery. The battery life is good but didn't like the thought of the possibiity of one day hikeing into a job only to have a dead battery so asked the dealer throw in a second one to seal the deal.
