Better have a third set of batteries though, instead of the usual 2 sets to get through a long day. LOL.
I did used to keep a mouse and keyboard in the truck for the old Panasonic tablet but it didn't seem worth it. When I really need them is when I'm outside in wet snow when the tsc7 won't recognize the included stylus so I have to pull off my gloves and use my frozen fingers.
I remember using the tsc2 with a broken screen as an instrument man almost 10 years ago when I was still pretty new. You could do basically everything with only the keys, except compute area. I wish Trimble would make the keyboard more consistently available in access.
Does the mouse actually work inside Access though? Or just on the windows desktop?
I don't bother with the cable. I've got a small Logitech mouse (Bluetooth) that is made for traveling that fits in the case with the DC. I use it when I need to move files around or manipulate anything that fat fingers might screw up. It has a button on top that allows you to switch between three different Bluetooth devices so I can pair it with my laptop and both T7 tablets and only carry one mouse that works with any device needed in the field.

Figured bluetooth should work - and I know what you mean about fat fingers on a TSC7 screen

That's cool - do you know the model number? - it sounds like the perfect solution.
@jimcox It's a Logitech MX Anywhere 2 but I believe the new model is the MX Anywhere 3. They both have Bluetooth and I believe they can also use the USB dongles that come with Logitech's non-Bluetooth mice.
