I am just starting the transition into TBC... so far i like some of the features and, of coarse, beating my head against the wall trying to find or figure out others.
Hoping that someone out there can help me with what should be an easy task - exporting a simple horizontal alignment from TBC. I really don't want to create a surface or a corridor in order to do this (appears that this is the default in the export options)... just want to export the alignment as a .rxl file... as is possible from Trimble Link in Civil 3D. My objective is to get this into Trimble Access for my field crew in order to find specific stationing and horizontal geometry points(staking R/W limits).
This morning (before my coffee) I threw my arms up and just created what I needed in Civil 3D and exported to the TSC2 in order to get the field crew out the door. I really don't want to use 2 programs to accomplish what I need, and am hoping that some of you experienced TBC users out there can help (or point me at a previous similar discussion that cab help).

Thanks!

GO TO FILE-EXPORT-CORRIDOR-RXL ROAD EXPORTER FROM SURFACE-SELECT ALIGNMENT
At this point I save it as an .RXL file anywhere on your computer
plug in the TSC2 and copy and paste directly into the data collector

Thanks Ric...
That was way too easy! Being part of the "Road from Surface" export kind of muddied up the water for me. Guess I was looking for something more staight forward.

Byron.
