Recently switched to the Carlson Mini2 Data Collector (from an old Jett CE) and the stylus are different. Now I know this doesn't usually pose much of an issue to some, but I was buying a pencil and stylus all-in-one from a local office supply place and I can't seem to find one anywhere with a rubber stylus tip. I may not be using the term correctly, but basically the stylus for the old Jett CE had a hard plastic tip, whereas the Mini2 has a "squishy" (for lack of a technical term) rubber tip. I know have to use 2 instruments when collecting/calcing info. switching from my pencil to the new stylus as my old stylus does not work very well on the Mini2. Anyone have a suggestion?

That is a capacitive screen, the hard stylus doesn't work with it - as you've discovered. Office Depot has them (soft styluses) with a pen or pencil (can't remember which) on the other end, 3 for about $7.

Got a really cheap giveaway one from our bank that is a pen that extends through the "squishy tip". Works pretty good, pen is dodgy in the cold, but it was FREE!

Can't beat free! Yeah, I'm looking for a 0.5mm pencil though. I found one, but it has crappy reviews on Amazon...

Quill has the Pentel mechanical pencils and lead in different sizes.

Far from free, they can last a lifetime.

Eh...but they aren't a rubber-tipped stylus though...
