I just got min in January so there isn't anything to clean out just yet. Give me 20 years or so and I'll answer this again.

My father's seal was issued in 1973. He may have tried to clean it out a couple times but it was all gummed up. I had it cleaned at the stamp shop when I picked mine up. Pops saw my new crisp seal and so I had to get him a new one. He has 2 now and neither of us really use the crimp. My brother's seal is still in the drawer somewhere. We just don't have the heart to destroy it. His number is listed on the DOS site says "deceased." I'm keeping the seal for memories.
