The bourbon shortage reminds me of a conversation with one of my daughters as she is wanting to purchase a new car.?ÿ She had to put her name and $500 on a list in order to eventually be put on a list from that dealership to the manufacturer to be approved to purchase a new car.?ÿ Apparently, the dealership is only allowed once each month to submit a list.?ÿ The manufacturer then provides a list to the dealership of some number of vehicles available, with all of the details.?ÿ Those on the list submitted then get to decide if one of the vehicles still available is one they will agree to purchase, as is.?ÿ That is no color change or addition or reduction of certain features.?ÿ Whatever it is they have produced, is what you agree to purchase............or not.?ÿ If you don't want any of the ones still available, you get yourself on a new list to eventually get put on the list again.
I got a bottle of Blanton's for my birthday along with a bottle of Weller C.Y.P.B. It's an allocated product and a lot of times the stores won't even put it up for retail sale when they get a delivery. They will move it to an auction setting. I have a friend in the package store business,
The caps for the Blanton's have a single letter and a horse. Collect all 8 and it spells Blanton's. I have O. I've heard the N' is the hard one to find.
I have yet to try it because I don't drink much bourbon and I'm not sure if I am going to keep or sell my bottle. I might try to find a glass when I go to the TSPS Convention in October.
