Nearly 35 years ago, I calculated the cost of a fully equipped Survey Vehicle. At that time it was about 50K. This was before Total Stations and GPS.
About 15 years later the same setup with a total station plus GPS was about 150K. I have no Idea what it is now. TS & GPS are actually less expensive but the same survey vehicle that cost 10k in the early 80's is now 40k±. It isn't inexpensive.
