@jon-payne the cost of living is largely dependent where you live, for instance, about 18 years ago I was working in North Jersey, Rutherford to be exact, not far from NYC.?ÿ One day I happened across a house for sale that was exactly the same model house that I own but the house for sale was on a smaller lot.?ÿ Aking price was in the low $500K range.?ÿ That same year I had just purchased my identical home in a larger lot in South Jersey for just shy of $190K and got more land at the lower price.
