Does anyone prefer a Panasonic Toughpad over the Juniper Mesa/Carlson RT3 & 4 tablets? I've been using a Carlson rt3 for several years and it has been pretty solid for the most part (sometimes it acts slow/glitchy). The new G2 Toughbook's have a faster processor and more memory capacity for a comparable price. They both seem like solid units, I'm just wondering if anyone prefers one over the other. I'm getting ready to make a new purchase but I'm having trouble deciding. I plan on using Carlson SurvPC field software with whatever I choose.

I used the fz-m1 for a few years (bought used) and it was the best I've ever used. Touchscreen only is annoying in rainy weather but in cold weather wearing gloves I really struggle to press the right buttons on the tsc7 keyboard so I don't really find it an upgrade.

It was also significantly faster than the tsc7 and had 2 day battery life with the extended battery that really didn't affect size. It would fit in my front best pocket.

I haven't used a mesa/Carlson to compare but if I could go back I would much rather have the Panasonic fz-m1 again.
