Zelenak probably will buy it

Yes, Rich, Scott Zelenak will probably buy it for somewhat more than the asking price just to assure his ownership of this instrument. One thing I'll bet he's kicking himself about, though, even as he faxes his check to bujorel, is that he no longer has that child's coffin. What a great transport case that would have made!

Yeh, But What Do You Use It For?

NGS no longer wants traditional measurements.

The telescope setup makes for one convenient observation position to check building plumbness.

I would love to use that on a project or two, just because.

Cost versus utility is the big question.

0.1" of arc, imagine the litigation possibilities.

Lawsuits down to 0.1mm of gap or overlap! There must be millions of boundaries out there that could be defective with that instrument, what a cash cow!

Dave

I think you are on to something!

Maybe not to the measurement extreme that you mention, but finger nail distances come to mind from some of the measuring technicians.

Dear Neighbor:

This is to inform you that your fence is encroaching upon my client's property by 0.1mm. This was determined by Moe Howard and Company using highly precise and incontrovertable measurement evidence obtained with their new Wild T-4 0.1" theodolite! We demand that you remove your fence from my client's property immediately.

Sincerely,

I. Cheatum, Esq. for
DEWEY, CHEATUM AND HOWE

Dear Mr. Cheatum, Esq.
But my new GPS from Wal-Mart has the fence 24' off by the County's GIS coordinates.
So sue me.

Respectfully yours,

Joe Neighbor
