Caught 'Impossible Builds' on PBS last night and I was just blown away by this high rise designed by the architect Zaha Hadid.?ÿUnfortunately she didn't?ÿlive long enough to see if finished. How in the world would you possibly be able to provide survey control for all the anchor pins that had to be set in concrete with tremendous precision so that all of the precast panels would line up on such a dynamic and fluid structure.
I was just floored that they were able to pull this off.

Point taken.
Williwaw out.
Not all went well on this job. I do not know which episode (your link) you watched but on TV they had a show
on this tower. When they got to floor 24 (I think that was the floor) they were ONE INCH out on the form.
They had to go down 8 floors and start to fix the problem. They were 1/8 inch out there and it just went
up 1/8 inch per floor till it got to One inch.
I would like to know who is checking and when? That's a big screw up. On the TV show I never heard about a surveyor.

I did the WA/QC surveying for the curtain wall fabricator in her building on W28th in Manhattan along the SkyLine park, she passed before it was complete.
Interesting building, like 25 split level floors in a 1/4 circle.
