We have submitted a LOMR-F to F.E.M.A., but have a unique (according to someone at FEMA) issue in that our topographic survey differs greatly from the F.I.R.M. Before and after fill was placed, we did a topographic survey each time.
We have created descriptions based on the areas where our past topographic B.F.E. (based on our survey before fill) and the new topographic B.F.E. differ. We have also shown the F.I.R.M. location of the B.F.E. on our exhibits for F.E.M.A.'s reference.
A response from FEMA (not official) was that something needed to be done about the area where the F.I.R.M. and our B.F.E. locations differed. In anyone's experience to fill out a LOMR too just to deal with this issue? Or has anyone's experience just been to add additional mapping to exhibits already created in the LOMR-F? I don't quite understand why FEMA might want anything more than showing our findings and how the differ from theirs in the map (our two before-and-after B.F.E. contours and the F.I.R.M.'s B.F.E. contour).
There are multiple structures and the areas that need changed are on a portion of the property. The F.I.R.M. B.F.E. differs from ours throughout the entire property.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
