Check this out!!!! ?????ÿ

With fieldgenius the turn to function only worked if settings were configured for manual use. Then when you staked a point you could toggle "auto turn" unlike access and magnet where you can turn to whenever you feel like it.?ÿ
Can you point me where this "TURN TO FUNCTION" & "AUTO TURN" is please??ÿ This seems to be what I am looking for.?ÿ i.e. select a point or consecutive points and the robotic would turn automatically to them with the laser pointer on.
Hope this isn't a MEP AUTO-LOCATION only feature.
Thanks!
I don't have the tablet with me, and haven't used this feature in ages because if I remember correctly, you had to change some setting to manual and then the auto turn would show up in the initial screen when you went to stake out a point. Not sure if this can also be incorporated with a staking list or not. I always just picked points off the screen to stake out with field genius. When I'm home tomorrow I can check it out and see if I can figure it out without a robot to connect to (only have the Trimble with me now). Hopefully that will be more helpful.?ÿ

Thanks Mike!?ÿ Please don't go out of your way!?ÿ Just whenever.
I may have just stumbled across something that may work by digging around.?ÿ Stake Surface.?ÿ Have to make a TIN surface out of my points, then it let me select points and TURN TO with the laser on robotically.
This may be it from the manual.?ÿ I'll have to try tomorrow.?ÿ Thank you Mike for the help.?ÿ There isn't really any info out there except for yours! ; )

I always use random pieces of scrap lumber laying around the sites for that purpose. LOL?ÿ

I don't believe we had the stake surface option. I think I use to accidentally fat finger and click it but it was either not a module we had or their was no tin surface in the DXF to work with.?ÿ
Not sure about the 1100 but I changed a hot key on the 1200 from the "change face" key (my old helper used to always click that by accident) to laser on/off. So I could turn it on right from the robot.?ÿ
Will try to check fieldgenius later when I get home but I know some settings aren't available until you connect to a TS.?ÿ

Many years ago I used the Tcra 1100 to layout points with the laser on wall forms?ÿ but I?ÿ was using SurvCE. As the forms are almost never in the exact position vertically and horizontally,?ÿ the wall needs to be aligned with the N/S, E/W so you can use those directions when manually fine tuning the point. Basically I was getting something like N:0.004m, E: 0.003m when using auto turn to point, then I?ÿ was slightly moving the telescope towards North and take another shot until I was reading N:0.000m. In this case the wall was along the N-S direction, so the E reading wouldn't affect the location on the form. Same procedure for elevation. I remember I checked by tape the first few points and they were within 2mm, so from that moment I?ÿ trusted the method and I just marked the center of the laser dot. TPS 1100 series?ÿ robots have a pretty large laser dot, so you'll have to be pretty close to what you're laying out.?ÿ Geomax Zoom90s are a much better tool for this kind of job.?ÿ
Yes, this was it.?ÿ I just DISABLED (UNCHECKED) SETTINGS>OPTIONS>STAKING>
ROBOTIC PRISM TRACKING
Now the robot will autoturn to the points with laser on.?ÿ P E R F E C T .
THANK YOU MIKE!!!!?ÿ ; )
Awesome! I literally just checked it and took a picture to attach here, but it's exactly as you said. Have to turn off robotic prism tracking. Have to say that is one thing I'm glad I have now on Trimble is the "turn to" function without disabling robotic.?ÿ
