It is Kinematic.
It is in flux.
It is in change.
The ground is slowly tweeking. Goes up, and down. NS EW.
The monuments, (IF you had a camera set up to record every month, for a few years) are moving, with rain, swelling the ground, Freezing, thawing, all sorts of minor movement.
Our tools of choice are continually changing.
Tape, EDM, temperature, humidity.
The software we use.
How we analyze our boundaries, They are all tools. Tools change.
Sharp axe, dull axe. Makes a difference on how we blaze line.
All our tools, and methods are in flux.
If a corner is set in the morning, (under different conditions) or set JUST before closing time. Was it set on FRIDAY??

HOWEVER
Many surveyors are NOT in flux. "That's how I've always done it".

Keeping pace is a serious issue facing us.

Continuing Education is somewhat at a loss, to integrate all the change, into a unified whole.

Min Standards... ha! no.

Is our billing keeping pace?

HMMMM Happy Friday!
