Early this morning the second 2F GPS satellite SVN 63 was launched for orbit.
It has already been assigned PRN 01, replacing SVN 49.
SVN 49 was fitted with an extra package to broadcast the L-5 signal to reserve that frequency for the US. That retrofitting messed up the L1/L2 signal from SVN 49 and because of that it never broadcast a healthy signal. After 28 months in orbit it is now retired as a very successful failure.
