Got a call about a topo we did in January of this month. The RS (registered sanitarian) said he needed more land for the aerobic system. Okay. So he called the client and told him that. He has a copy of my 24x36" 1" = 20' topo map. Client says he owns it all. He shoots down a portion of my map showing what extra land he needed. What he didn't see on my map (did I mention it's a big honkin map at a very easy to read scale) was that the East edge of the topo was the East line of the property and he wanted me to go take 60' of another man's 1/2 acre tract who just happens to be a VERY LARGE INDIVIDUAL who carries a gun for the Sheriff's Department and wouldn't be very happy with that.
FWIW, all of the deed information was on the plat at a 0.1 scale of 1" = 20' so it could have been a little small for him to read. 🙂
Idiots.

Of course he wanted to put the field on someone else's land. Then he has more land to build on.
