I hope this is the appropriate category. It could just as easily be in the Computer category.
I worked on a topo this weekend, helping out a friend that is swamped and short handed at the same time. I used the GPS and the UTV, and things went pretty smoothly.
I use TDS Survey Pro in the field on my Ranger data collectors, and Foresight DXM in the office to export points, generate cut sheet reports if needed, etc. I downloaded the days data just following my normal workflow, and I received the message saying that the Geoid File is not found for my state plane zone.
I downloaded Geoid12A file from Trimble's website, and placed it in the CommonFilesTrimbleGeodata folder, but still cannot get the program to read it. I went in and edited my *.Csd file, and created a new geoid file, and assigned it to my Tennessee Coordinate system.
Any suggestions?
I have two laptops I need to get this running on. I can export the points in the data collector, which is what I did, and I'm able to work with my points, but I would like to fix this.
Thanks in advance,
Jimmy
Jimmy,
Hope the attached picture helps. I think I had to reboot my computer after I made the changes.
Thank you. I don't know that I ever rebooted my laptop after creating or updating the file. I will try that.
Thanks again
Thanks to Marvin Davis and Foxsurvey for their help. I can now open files without the error message.
I am now trying to get the Geoid12A to populate in the dropdown menu for the projection menu under Geoids. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
